All of our students get the chance to shine in our End-of-Year Showcase, and every week in class, they’re building their skills and learning the value of rehearsal, commitment, teamwork, and performance techniques. As we get closer to showcase day, it’s super important that students make it to all their scheduled classes. This helps them rehearse together, feel confident, and give their best performance. We understand that sometimes things come up, but if your child needs to miss multiple classes in Term 4, please give us a heads-up.
If your child won’t be able to perform at the showcase on the scheduled dates, please let us know so we can make the necessary adjustments to their routines.
We would love for them to be up on stage with us! It’s all about having a groove and having fun with your friends to finish off the year. No need to worry if you have just joined, BASECHELLA is all about giving our students a fun platform to express themselves and for our families to rejoice in their amazing efforts so far this year. There is no pressure to remember routines or be perfect, it is about connecting with friends and embracing the joy that dance brings to us all. Your child will be highlighted in a section of the routine so that they're not rewuired to learn the all the choreography. They'll also be awarded with their end of year medal and acknowledged as member of our tribe. They be able to practive using our online video platform ensuring their confident and ready to shine on stage. Having an amazing first experience is really important for us to give our students. We will be in touch if we think waiting a little longer to showcase is in the best interest of a dancer.
ARE THERE AN EXTRA REHEARSAL?
WHAT TO WEAR
✅ Each student will get their costume the week before the showcase, and on the big day, they should rock their outfit with some cool white sneakers (just make sure they’re squeaky clean!). They’ll need to come to the venue already dressed and ready to go.
✅ There’s nothing else you need to bring—unless, of course, you want to sprinkle some courage dust, which we’ve got plenty of from unicorn and superhero lands!
✅ And if your child needs medication, be sure to bring that along too.
Well the easy question here is, nothing! We take care of sizing your child in class and handle all the hard work for you, making the concert experience easy breezy! The teacher will organise for the costumes to be handed out in class the week before the showcase. And here’s the best part: your costume is already included in your membership, so you won’t have to pay a thing!

SECURITY & STUDENT SAFETY

As always, the safety of our dance family is our #1 priority. On concert day all students will need to be signed in / out of security lists to gain access backstage. All backstage helpers will be issued with security passes that are required to be worn at all times. Only Base181 staff are permitted backstage. We are unable to run messages or food to students, so please make sure they have everything before they come backstage for rehearsal and the recital/concert. We do this to protect the students, please respect this policy.

We’ll have plenty of water backstage, so no need to bring bottles! Students will be busy having fun with activities, games, and warm-ups, and to keep things smooth and avoid any lost items, we ask that they leave the following at home:BottlesJumpersOther personal belongingsSince they’ll be moving quickly between stations, we want to keep things simple and organised.
